Bulkhead fittings with zerk fittings provide an accessible lubrication point when bearings or grease points are located behind covers, protective walls, panels, or other obstructions. This fitting can be used for traditional manual lubrication, supplementary lubrication, or as an emergency lubrication connection for centralized lubrication systems. Fritsche specifically identifies these applications for this bulkhead design.
The assembly combines a straight 6 mm compression bulkhead fitting with an M6x1 straight zerk fitting. The zerk provides an accessible connection for standard grease guns, while the bulkhead allows the lubrication line to be routed through a panel or protective wall to the lubrication point.
Mounting Options
The bulkhead fitting features a 24° compression connection conforming to DIN 2353 / ISO 8434-1 on one side. This connection can be used with compatible tubing or with a hose stud, compression components, and high-pressure lubrication hose rated up to 840 bar (12,180 PSI). The lubrication line can then be routed to the grease point using compatible compression fittings, push-in fittings, hose studs, or plastic lubrication tubing.
The opposite side features an M6x1 female thread for installation of the included 250-001 M6x1 straight zerk fitting, providing a convenient manual greasing connection.
Installation Note:
The bulkhead fitting requires a 12mm diameter hole for proper installation, ensuring a secure and stable fit.
